As a healthcare practitioner, your time is a premium. With ever-increasing demands on your time, there’s precious little time available to do collaborative patient education.
In your patient encounters, you may only have time to make recommendations and outline a plan… but some of your patients need close support and assistance in actually implementing that plan.
I can help your patients ensure they understand the care plan you created for them. I’ll work closely with them to implement the complex lifestyle changes that are often required to make significant improvements in their health.
I work specifically with women over 40 to make the lifestyle changes needed to lose weight, find lost energy, balance their hormones and find ways to prevent or lessen the symptoms of chronic disease and inflammation.
Research is beginning to show that patient outcomes improve with health coaching. In fact, the American Medical Association has this to say:
Health coaching is a team-based approach that helps patients gain the knowledge, skills and confidence to become active participants in their care. The old saying, “Give a man a fish, and he eats for a day; teach a man to fish, and he eats for a lifetime” demonstrates the difference between rescuing a patient and coaching a patient. Patients with chronic conditions need to learn how to fish.
Health coaching can be supplemented with health literacy strategies and effective communication techniques, such as ask-tell-ask, teach-back and/or action planning to ensure patient comprehension of their care plans and help them achieve their goals”.

You can have the confidence in knowing their nutritional needs are being addressed and your patient is being set up for daily and weekly wins.
Once you make the referral, I’ll get in touch with your patient directly to discuss their options.
I’m a Registered Holistic Nutrition Practitioner (RHNP), professionally trained from holistic health care professionals at the Nutraphoria School of Holistic Nutrition, where I received an Advanced Holistic Nutrition Diploma. I received my RHNP license and am insured through the Canadian Association for Integrative Nutrition (CAIN) which is our Canadian governing body.
I decided to become a health coach after my father died of cancer in 2013. I was devastated — I had lost one of my biggest supporters, one of my best friends, and mentors. That’s when I really researched the causes (and prevention) of cancer. I read everything I could get my hands on, and what I discovered truly horrified me. I wanted to share my knowledge with others to empower them towards optimal health and well-being.
Today, I share my health knowledge with women over 40 who want to make changes to their health. Some come to me for small lifestyle changes, like making small changes in their diet; and some come to me for for larger ones, like managing a chronic illness or losing unwanted weight. Whatever health pain they are experiencing, we work together to create individual health goals and determine the manageable steps to get them there. We make small, daily and weekly changes that are sustainable for their health long term.
Let me help guide your patients through an amazing transformation so they can lose weight and live their best life, full of energy and health!
